Come Visit us this Saturday from 10:00 am until Noon at Barkers Island for Praise and Worship. We are there every Saturday, weather permitting This is the last Saturday before moving to our alternate location in the Mariner Mall near Iron River Sports in Superior, WI. Join us to priase Him! We have been doing this since June '06 and has been a blessing, the groups range from 2 to 12 generally although they have grown to even more a few times. All ages are welcome. Some have asked. What is the five Fold Ministry anyway? Well, all questions are good when we are seeking to understand The Lord more. God's leadings are always fruitful and never return void. This is my explanation and if you have more to add or wish to share something please email me The fve fold ministry in Ephesians 4:11 says And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; In a few verses before this he said that he led captivity captive, and gave gifts unto men. The NLT for Ephesians 4:8 says That is why the Scriptures say, "When he ascended to the heights, he led a crowd of captives and gave gifts to his people." Paul was quoting the scriptures - What does this mean to us here now. In Strongs (1390) the Greek translation for gifts is doma, and it means "from the base of." so we can see that these gifts come fro the very base or root of who Christ is, God made man. And that some now and all who would ask He appoints a gifting of the Holy Spirit to carry out the Great Commision when we are righteous or in right standing with Him. The Great Commision is for us all; Mark 16:15 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. So at its core the five fold ministry is here for the edification of those who need it, and that would be all of us!
